BTSO carried out bilateral business meetings within the framework of textile and apparel fabrics Production-Development projects in Lodz, Poland held with the title of “Lodz Fashion Meetings”. At the organization to which Polish firms showed great interest, 39 project member firms of Bursa joined the bilateral business meetings.
BTSO (Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry) which is the instution conducting the most Production-Development projects in Turkey, continues to lead Turkey’s exportation-oriented development goals with its project activities. An important step has been taken by BTSO which will bring dynamism to the commercial relationships in the textile industry between Bursa and Poland. Lodz Fashion Meetings, which united business people from Bursa, the textile capital of Turkey and from Lodz, the textile capital of Poland at The Art Factory. Many efficient business meetings were held at the event and the foundations for new co-operations were laid.

 
“WE TRUST THE POLISH MARKET”
Vice President of the Board of Directors İsmail Kuş, assessed the event, stating they continued to move the firms of Bursa to international markets with their Production-Development projects. İsmail Kuş expressed that Poland was a market whose potential they trusted in and added that the textile industry would increase the exportation to the region. İsmail Kuş who remarked that city of Lodz is the center of Polish textile, added: “We have come here with a significant trade mission of 39 firms from Bursa. Our firms are pleased with the attention their products receive. We are carrying out a very successful organization.”

 
“IT WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE SECTOR”
BTSO Member of the Assembly, Rıdvan İmamoğlu who was in the trade mission stated that organization would contribute massively to the development of the Bursa textile. İmamoğlu who expressed that BTSO actualized very important projects, said: “I would like to thank everyone who contributed, especially to our President of the Board of Directors Mr. İbrahim Burkay.  Lodz, is the center of textile and fashion of Poland. Our business interviews have been very efficient so far. Everyone is pleased with the number of visitors.”

 
“POLAND IS LOCATIONALLY AN IMPORTANT MARKET”
BTSO Member of the Assembly Yavuz Özdemir, expressed that Poland is a big market located in the center of Central and Eastern Europe. Özdemir, who stated that they aimed to take advantage of the potential of the Polish market, added: “Polish people show great interest to Turkish products. This is an advantage for us. We have received the rewards of our works in this market before. Hopefully our event within the framework of our Production-Development project will bring important opportunities for us.”

 
“OUR TRADE VOLUME WILL INCREASE”
39. Committee President of BTSO Engin Alemdar who joined bilateral business meetings stated that the organization which was conducted in co-operation with the textile cluster in Poland has been very efficient. Alemdar who said they were very pleased with the attention they received, added: “We have had customers who came from neighboring cities and countries with their own means. We have received demands to hold this event on a yearly basis. There are textile co-operations going on for years between Bursa and Poland. Even though we experience periodical declines with our trade volume depending on the political changes, I believe we will carry our trade volume to levels we desire thanks to organizations like this.”

 
THE GOAL IS 10 BILLION DOLLARS
BTSO committee joined the Global Business Forum held in Warsaw on the first day of the foreign marketing activity. Commercial Chief Counsellor of Warsaw Atilla Gökhan Kızılarslan, said at his speech at the meeting that they aimed to carry the trade volume between Turkey and Poland to 10 billion dollars in 2023. Kızılarslan who reminded that the trade volume between two countries was 6,5 billion dollars in 2018, stated: “Both Turkey and Poland have a long way to go. 10 billion dollars goal is certainly not a dream for the two countries which both have financial potential. The visit to Poland by our Minister of Commerce has opened the doors for a new period for our economic relations.” Kızılarslan who remarked that BTSO has important works for the development of relationships with Poland also added that they would continue to support the works of the Chamber.
