NEW PRODUCTION DEVELOPMENT MOVE FROM THE TEXTILE INDUSTRY
BTSO (Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry) had its first meeting of the Apparel Fabrics Production Development Project it actualized together with the Ministry of Commerce
BTSO (Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry) had its first meeting of the Apparel Fabrics Production Development Project it actualized together with the Ministry of Commerce. Thanks to the project which is one of the 14 Production-Development projects, there will be works conducted for 3 years to increase the competitiveness and exportation in the apparel fabrics sector.
The first meeting of the Apparel Fabrics Production Development Project was held with the participation of the Vice President of The Board of Directors, İsmail Kuş and the member firms of the textile production development projects. While the 4-month action plan of the new production development project which includes 41 firms will be reviewed at the meeting, first training activity of the production development members will start with “Advance Sales Techniques”.
NEW GOALS ARE SERBIA AND ITALY
The Apparel Fabrics Production Development Project will start overseas B2B projects right away. Firms will first join bilateral business meeting organizations which will take place between 23rd and 26th of October in Serbia and to which important sector representatives from Balkan countries will join. Production Development project members will also look for new co-operations at the bilateral business meeting organizations to be held in Italy in December.

Vice President of The Board of Directors, İsmail Kuş stated Bursa was one of the most important textile cities of Turkey. He also added that they aimed to market Bursa’s value added products to the world and underlined the importance of the Production Development Project.
FIRMS DISCOVERED THEMSELVES
İsmail Kuş remarked that Production Development Projects conducted together with the Ministry of Commerce brought a different vision to the firms and added: “Our Chamber is one of the most project-conducting-institutions of Turkey with its 14 Production Development projects. Our city has gained new exporters with its textile, food, baby and kids garment production development projects. Our sector has discovered its own strength and potential. I believe our Apparel Fabrics Production Development Project will achieve productive works just like in our sectors.”

İsmail Kuş said that Bursa, which is a global leader in the fashion, textile and accessories area, is a city that offer products focused on quality, design and innovation to the leaders of the global market. İsmail Kuş stated that Bursa Textile Show organization would be held between 14th-16th of November and added: “Almost 83 firms are joining the organization. Important buyers from all around the world will come to Bursa for new co-operations. This event will help the exportation and the promotion of our city.”

BTSO Member of the Assembly and Textile Production Development Project Member Yavuz Özdemir, expressed that Ministry of Commerce and BTSO granted great supports for the firms and added: “Our Production Development projects best themselves every year. The procurement committee and the fair exhibition in November aimed at the sector is the most important result of the efficient works of our Textile Production Development project.”

BTSO 39th Professional Committee President and Textile Production Development member Engin Alemdar, expressed that production development projects organized under the leadership of BTSO offered great opportunities for the firms. He also added: “As a global brand, our sector can achieve new exportation accomplishments. The exemplary unity and sovereignty of our sector will contribute massively to the firms. We have seen this potential in our Textile Production Development Project. I believe The Apparel Fabrics Production Development firms will achieve even better works.”
